I joined the 2016/2017 winter semester round of Erasmus+ program during my final year of Bachelor’s and I was excited to experience life abroad, to study in a Western university and to improve my English and German alongside.

It took me some time to get used to English terminology in Computer Science and to learn how to go about living in another country but it helped tremendously when I later moved to Estonia to study for an English-taught Master’s degree in Tartu University.

The Erasmus+ experience forced me out of my comfort zone, helped me meet new people, taught me how to navigate life as an expat and I would make the same choice to join the program if I were to do it over again.
